Internship at Zoomcar

Zoomcar is a car-sharing platform in India with over 25,000 self-drive cars available in more than 38 cities. It allows users to rent cars by the hour, day, week, or month through a mobile app and website. The platform has over 20,000 hosts offering various car options.

I started my internship at Zoomcar in February 2024, working on various projects.

Car Recommendation Model:

I worked on a car recommendation model for Zoomcar hosts in partnership with Cars24 and Spinny. I collaborated with the product manager, relationship manager, and product designer to lay the project's foundations.

We used data from user groups to understand the problem's scale and impact, designed wireframes for feedback, and turned them into mockups.

Design System: I updated the incomplete and outdated design system, researching popular systems and best practices. I updated typography styles and components like buttons, overlays, loaders, and separators.

UX Audit: I documented the UX audit of the Zoomcar hosts app and collaborated with product designers, product managers, and developers to fix broken flows. This documentation helped keep our thoughts organized for future reference.

Website Revamp: I revamped the search page, including sort and filter functions, the search bar, calendar, and location visual designs. I worked with Product Manager Rishi and other team members, iterating on UI and logic until the changes went live.

Heuristic Evaluations: I evaluated the website to identify broken flows and provided UX and visual suggestions.
